Why I built Overhauled.ai

I spent the last decade running Vrume — a private performance advertising network built on direct publisher relationships. We serve 2 billion+ ad impressions per month across 150+ countries. I know what makes someone click. I know what makes someone bounce. And I know exactly what a broken website looks like to someone who's spent years on the other side of it.

What I kept seeing was local businesses — plumbers, roofers, restaurants, clinics — spending money on ads, only to send people to a website that was loading slow on mobile, had a dead contact form, or was showing the wrong hours on Google. The ad worked. The website killed the sale.

I built Overhauled.ai to fix that. Not with a retainer. Not with a vague monthly SEO package. With specific, flat-rate fixes — find what's broken, fix it fast, tell you exactly what happened and why it matters. Then, if you want the whole system rebuilt properly, we do that too.

Everything is done remotely. I work with businesses across Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and beyond — location is never a barrier. I've built this to run from anywhere. That's the point.

The truth is, I love helping small businesses — and finding new ways to save money and generate more revenue is something I genuinely enjoy. That's what keeps this interesting.

Domain Investor & Performance Marketer

Started buying and monetizing domains in 2001. Built a portfolio of 100+ domains in lead generation, performance marketing, and direct response niches. Partnered with major CPA networks including CrakRevenue, MaxBounty, and ClickBank.

2015 — 2016

Goodshave.com — E-Commerce Founder

Founded a men's shaving e-commerce brand with a one-to-one give-back model — for every razor sold, one went to a homeless shelter or food bank. Negotiated directly with manufacturers in China, built the brand and launched on Shopify across Canada and the US.

2016 — Present

Vrume — Performance Ad Network

Built a private performance advertising network from scratch. Today it serves 2B+ monthly impressions across 150+ GEOs, with direct publisher relationships and ~90% advertiser retention. No SSP middlemen — just direct, accountable traffic.

2022 — Present

PizzaForno — Franchise Owner

My wife Lesley and I saw a pizza vending machine while walking through Portugal — and decided we had to try the concept in Canada. Today we operate multiple PizzaForno machines including locations at the University of Guelph and St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton. The University machine went viral with 100k+ views after we mounted a Ring doorbell to it so customers could entertain themselves while waiting for their pizza.

2026 — Present

Overhauled.ai — AI & Web for Small Business

The newest business — and in many ways the one that pulls everything together. Performance marketing knowledge, business operations experience, and AI tooling, packaged for local businesses who need their digital presence to actually work.
